- Cooking time: 15-20 min
- Type of food: Lunch
Ingredients
- 2000 g Lunter Tofu Marinated Soy Sauce
- 300 ml soy sauce
- 5 tbsp sherry
- 15 tbsp agave syrup
- 10 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 5 shallots, finely chopped
- 4 tbsp cornstarch (to help the sesame adhere)
- 4 tbsp water
- 250 g sesame seeds
- 3 tbsp oil
Instructions
Make a marinade from soy sauce, sherry, agave syrup, garlic and shallots.
Cut the tofu into two thick slices and soak in the marinade in the fridge for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Dry the tofu and grill, turning regularly and grilling for a total of five to ten minutes.
Shortly before the end of the grilling time, brush the tofu thinly with the marinade again and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Set aside to cool.
In a shallow dish, mix cornstarch and water to create a light batter.
Place sesame seeds in another shallow dish.
Dip each piece into the cornstarch mixture, then roll it in sesame seeds, pressing firmly so they stick and form a crust.
Fry the tofu for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
