Tofu Burger

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 2 ½ small onions, finely chopped
  • 5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 375 g Lunter Natural Tofu
  • 375 g Lunter Tofu Marinated Soy Sauce
  • 5 tbsp carrot, coarsely grated
  • 5 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 5 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 ½ tbsp wheat flour
  • nutmeg
  • salt
  • chili

Instructions

Heat the oil in a pan, sauté the onions until translucent, then fry until golden brown, stirring.

Finely mash the tofu with a fork.

Mix tofu, onions, garlic, carrots, parsley, soy sauce, mustard, breadcrumbs and flour. Season with nutmeg, salt and chili.

Knead everything with your hands into a compact, smooth mass so the burgers hold together well. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Shape into burger patties.

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Fry patties on both sides over medium heat until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Serving suggestion: Halve burger buns, add lettuce leaves, tofu burgers, tomatoes, pickles and onion rings. Top with a dollop of tofumayo and close with the bun lid.
